MINOR IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION |

A student may choose to major in general business administration without being bound by any of the above-listed concentrations. Objectives:The objectives of the Minor in Business Administration program are to:
CurriculumThe business administration program leading to a Diploma requires students to complete 60 credit hours ( 24 credits University requirements and 36 credits College requirements) beginning at year 1. The University requirements for all the Diploma programs consist of ARAB 101, ENGL 101, 102, 203, MATH 103, SOCS 100, 102, and CMPS 100A. Business Administration Concentration (Generic)The College requirements for a Diploma in Business Administration are: ENGL 204, ACCT 101, 102, MKTG 101, MATH 204, FINA 201, 202, MNGT 201, 202, ECON 201, 202, and BUSS 202. Business Administration Concentration (Generic)In addition to the 60 credits required in the Diploma in Business Administration (Generic), students are expected to complete the following courses: BUSS 301, 305, 308, 355, 360, SOCS 200, 21 credits in Business Administration courses, 12 credits in Social Science electives, and 9 credits in General Electives. Admission Requirements:Students already working on another bachelor’s degree outside the College of Commerce and Business Administration who wish to obtain a minor in business administration must apply to the College before taking any business courses. The CCBA Admissions Committee evaluates all applications for a minor in business and makes recommendations to the dean. A student is eligible to be considered for a minor in business after completing two years (minimum 60 credit hours) in a major with a cumulative average of 70. Students electing to minor in Business Administration are required to complete a minimum of 18 credit hours (6 courses) distributed as follows: Required Courses (12 credits)
Elective Courses (6 credits) Students must select an additional 6 credit hours from any of the undergraduate courses offered by CCBA, provided they satisfy the prerequisite requirements for such courses. |
