Dhofar University participated in a gathering
promoting human resources which was arranged by
the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation
with the Ministry of Manpower. Those who attended
were from the fields of training and promoting
human resources from both the private and public
sectors in the Sultanate. In addition, experts
and specialists in the same fields attended from
a number of other Arab countries. At the gathering,
several papers were presented, including ones related
to various sectors such as youth, women, students,
disabled people and trade unionism and its role
in the Sultanate.
Discussions were held on papers dealing with the
importance of professional guidance in promoting
human resources as well as its impact on human
resources, organization in the human resources
departments in the private sector and the activation
of women’s roles in this field.
Mr. Abdullqader bin Ali BaOmar; the Director of
Administration at Dhofar University, who took part
in the conference, said that the University’s
participation in this gathering reflected its concern
for applying the latest methods in promoting human
resources.
Mr. Abdullqader said that the gathering resulted
in a number of decisions being made in fields such
as the development of educational patterns in the
educational enterprises in both private and public
sectors in accordance with the current attitudes
in promoting human resources, the enhancement of
the cooperation between both sectors to promote
human resources, the provision of chances for employees
to gain experience and the enhancement of technical
and personal skills in different educational enterprises
and in different stages.
