Prof. Faour with Sheikh Ahmed Al Naimy

        As part of the plan to continue strengthening relations among the institutions of higher education in the Sultanate, the President of the Administration Council of Al Buraimi College, Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser Al Naimy met with the Vice Chancellor of Dhofar University, Prof. Muhammed Faour. Prof. Faour gave his guest a brief introduction to the DU Colleges, departments, student services, academic life and the new campus project. He also spoke to Sheikh Ahmed about the relationships that DU has with other institutions and universities both inside and outside the Sultanate.
       Sheikh Ahmed told Prof. Faour that the purpose of the visit was to arrive at common scientific cooperation between DU and Al Buraimy College. He also mentioned the importance of visits among the higher education providers, which in the end will lead to more opportunities in both the domains of academic education as well as scientific research. He also expressed his wish to encourage student research, and talked about the importance of activating exchanges between the lecturers and students of both institutions.
      The guest was then taken on a tour around the Colleges. He also had a look at the new three-dimensional model of the university campus that contains buildings which are already under construction. At the end of the visit, Sheikh Ahmed expressed his gratitude for the hospitality offered to him, and said that he admired both the academic and administrative progress which had taken place in such a short time at the University.
