Dhofar University Students First to Use New Digital Logic Design Lab.

Mr. Ali Haleeb Alammas

Digital Logic Design

The mobile digital logic design lab whose prototype is shown above is designed by Dhofar University Computer Science lecturer Ali Haleeb Alammas, who says that when this lab is manufactured and supplied to the students it will turn the students' two or three contact hours a week with their fixed labs into permanent contact with this portable lab that they can use anywhere and at any time.
The lab will enable DU students to experiment practically on digital logic circuits using practical electronic components at home or anywhere, in their own leisure time. It is an invention that will popularize this field of science and promote innovation and creativity in our students. The advantage of this mobile lab over the software virtual labs currently used in this field is that it gives the students practical, hands-on experience and it is, at the same time, mobile.

The designer said that he is now working on a mobile analogue electronic lab which will hopefully be ready soon. In addition, as has already been reported in the media, he has also previously registered three inventions in the field of mobile phones.
