University Participates in the Closing Ceremony of
the Exhibition of Higher Education Institutions

Dhofar University participated in the closing
ceremony of the Exhibition of Higher Education
Institutions in the Sultanate that was held between
the 24th and 26th of July, 2007 in the Oman International
Center in Muscat. The ceremony was under the
auspices of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammad
Al Sarmi, Deputy of the Minister of Higher Education.
It took place on the 8th of October, 2007 in
Barr Al Jissah Resort A number of dignitaries
and the presidents and representatives from both
public and private universities and colleges
within the Sultanate attended. The aim of organizing
such exhibitions is to give the chance to high
school graduates from all over the Sultanate
to examine what the universities and colleges
in the Sultanate have to offer, in one place
and at one time. Dr. Ahmed Ukasha, Assistant
to the Registrar at Dhofar University, said that
the exhibition was excellent and a large number
of people had attended during July since there
had been a good selection of higher education
institutions participating in the event. He added
that the exhibition had achieved its goal since
the all the participating institutions were able
to introduce the programs and majors they had
to offer. He also added that Dhofar University
was a Golden Sponsor for the exhibition. |
