Prof. Souma BouJaoude

Dr. Souma BouJaoude, University Academic Overseer, made a four day visit to Dhofar University, from 4th to 8th of March, 2007. He comes from AUB in Lebanon frequently to advise and oversee specific academic matters at Dhofar University. The main purpose of this particular visit was to attend the Workshop given by members of the Oman Accreditation Council at Dhofar University on March 7th and 8th. Dr. BouJaoude wanted to gain more background on the issues of accreditation, in preparation for submitting DU’s Self Study Portfolio, which is the first step towards applying for accreditation. He spent some time during his visit, following up on the progress of the Teaching Diploma Program, and meeting with both academic and non-academic staff of the OPU. He also attended a number of classes in order to observe the quality of teaching and learning taking place in DU classrooms.
