Nawal Al-Jamil … A graduate from DU gets full scholarship of the Peace grant from the United States of America.
The peace scholarship provides
Participants are registered as full time students to study the available course in the American educational institutes with the aim of allowing academic Interaction among the different educational environments.
At the end of the program, students participate in another program in the Middle East and North Africa in order to strengthen their leading competencies and support their learning.
Nawal bint Abdullah Al-Jamil says she is really proud to represent the Sultanate of Oman within a gathering of students from all walks of life. She expresses her pride in being the first Omani girl from Dhofar governorate to get such an opportunity; thanks go great efforts exerted by my family and the university. I thank In particular, Nawal says, the dean of the college of Arts and Applied Sciences and my teachers for their efforts inside and outside the university as from teaching to activities. Nawal adds that the program aims at encouraging qualified Omani students from the different colleges and universities in Oman to pursue their studies in the United States and to benefit from the scientific, practical and academic experience in addition to the knowledge of the other cultures and traditions.
Nawal expresses her thanks to Dhofar University and added that her choice of this program is an honour to her and to Dhofar University and hopes such a cooperation will not stop because of its importance in improving the students' level.
