A team of experts from the American University of Beirut paid a week-long visit to Dhofar University to continue with their supervision in a number of key areas at DU, including the progress of the Teaching Diploma, the continuation of the Accreditation process, and the many steps forward in the Orientation Program Unit. The visit was one in a series of visits that AUB faculty members make regularly to oversee the progress at Dhofar University. The members of the team were Dr. Said Elfakhani, who is the Chairperson of the Self-Study Steering Committee that is working towards accreditation for DU, as well as Dr. Saouma BouJaoude who is connected with the Accreditation process, but also came, along with Dr. G. Ghaith, to advise the Department of Education on their Teaching Diploma and visit their classes. These visits always give the faculty and staff at DU a chance to reassess the progress that has been made over the two years since the University was established, and encourages them to forge ahead.
