3rd Annual International Conference on Computer Games, Multimedia and Allied Technology (CGAT 2010)

Mr. Mohammad Zaidan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Graphic Design and Interior Architecture, College of Engineering, represented Dhofar University at the 3rd Annual International Conference on Computer Games, Multimedia and Allied Technology (CGAT 2010) which was held on 6th – 7th April 2010 in Singapore Management University (SMU), Singapore. This conference was organized by the Asia Pacific Technology Forum (APTF), an organization dedicated to promoting research in order to facilitate an environment of innovation, publication and technopreneurship.

The CGAT Conferences aim to foster the growth of the Computer Gaming industry and its benefits to the community at large. The scientific content of the 2010 conference attracted immense attention and there was a wealth of information published in the papers which will be extremely useful to professionals working in related fields.

Over 50 expert speakers from 18 countries participated in this two-day event, which aimed to provide a platform for all stakeholders like researchers, users, technology developers and distributors, and policy makers to discuss, deliberate and exchange experiences. Mr. Mohammad Zaidan presented his research paper entitled 'Improving the Animation of Virtual Human (VH) by Embedding Human Emotions, Moods, and Personality’. The paper has been nominated to be published in the International Journal of Computer Games Technology, a Hindawi journal that maintains the highest standards of peer review and is one of the most cited journals in this field.
