Dr. Basma Faour, Manager of CTL

On April 4, Dr. Basma Faour, Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Dhofar University, and as part of DU’s commitment to community service, conducted a workshop for 30 teachers from the General Education Governorate in Al-Maarefah School, Salalah. The topic of the workshop was “understanding our children”. The workshop addressed the importance of understanding child development and its relation to teaching practices. The participants engaged in activities and discussion as to how well they know children and their developmental needs be that cognitive, emotional, or social.
