Dhofar University is looking to cooperate with the activation of Salalah Port

Dhofar University is keen to develop cooperation and partnerships with business enterprises in the Dhofar Governorate. In this regard Professor, Dr. Bassam Ali Jubran Vice Chancellor of Dhofar University visited the Port of Salalah, where he met with Mr. Peter Ford, chief executive of Port of Salalah to discuss the benefits of Dhofar University as an institution and scientific research in areas of human development and technical development and professional development. He was accompanied by the Director of the Center for Continuing Education, Director of Admissionsو and the Director of Information and Public Relations.

Prof. Vice Chancellor of Dhofar University explained about the University of Dhofar and areas of focus for the present and reviewed the aspects of which there can be cooperation and coordination between the university and the port in engineering, which includes the provision of technical advice to the port, and encourage scientific research so as to enhance the preparation of studies and scientific research and provide Academic support and supervision while taking advantage of the possibilities of scientific and engineering laboratories to serve the objectives of both parties. The university is also interested in educational cooperation by providing cultural and social lectures, as well as the coordination of joint conferences.

Vice Chancellor of Dhofar University said that they are also ready to assist in providing studies related to developing human resource in the Port, and in giving counseling, rehabilitation, training and implementation the relevant programs, and we hope the port likewise provide an opportunity for university students to perform some time of theoretical and practical training.
