More than 80 educational institutions and 30 local and International networks from more than 18 countries. Dhofar University encourages this type of event, which aims to introduce students to the many opportunities that are offered by the participating universities and colleges. This type of exhibition encourages and stimulates university and even high school students to think about their future study plans and careers, through providing information about the large selection of majors that are offered by the higher education institutions. GHEDEX is known to be one of the major annual gatherings for higher education providers in the Middle East and Asia. Holding these exhibitions that are related to higher education, technical training and hiring is considered a great opportunity for the participants and guests to familiarize themselves with what other universities and colleges around the world are offering these days. It is also an attempt to engender cooperation among educational organizations, both for Omanis and for other nationalities, and to find special opportunities for education and scholarships in all fields of higher study.  DU offers this year some new specializations. It offers a master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Teaching English Language and  Diploma and Bachelor of Chemical Engineering.
