Dr Naser Nawayseh’s paper has been nominated for best paper award.

Dr Naser Nawayseh participated in the Middle Eastern Modelling and Simulation (MEMS) conference organized by The European Multidisciplinary Society for Modelling and Simulation Technology based in Belgium. The conference was held at the Arab Open University/ Jordan branch between 14-16 November 2011. Dr Nawayseh presented his paper with the title “Modelling of the Biodynamic Responses of the Feet to Vertical Vibration”. The main objectives of the paper were to present for the first time a mathematical model that can predict the biodynamic responses of the feet to vibration and to explain the importance of integrating such model with a model for the whole human body. Out of the 50 modelling and simulation papers submitted to the conference from different countries and in different fields of research (Medical, Engineering, Education, Computer science, etc.), Dr Nawayseh’s paper and six other papers were nominated for best paper award. This indicates the high quality of research performed by faculty members at Dhofar University. The winner of the best paper award will be announced in the coming few weeks.
