The First DU's Graduates and Ministry of Higher Education Meeting

The MoHE Delegation During the Meeting

The Meeting Audience

Yesterday morning the first graduates and MOHE meeting was held at DU, attended by Dr. Nimr Eid, acting Vice Chancellor, and some of the academic and non- academic staff. This meeting was organized by the Office of Student Affairs to follow DU graduates in cooperation with the ministry to count the real number of the graduates of all the private educational institutions. This came in the framework of the ministry's project ''Graduates Covering''.

The delegation started the meeting thanking the University for its initiatives and its interaction with the project and then publicized the project and explained that the survey is a follow-up of graduates of all private higher education institutions in Oman to determine the extent of entry into the labor market and how they fulfill the market needs.

This project aims at providing data for the labor market and the institutions interested in knowing the outcomes of these universities and for their needs. In addition, there was an explanation of how this project would help students and their parents in choosing majors by comparing the outcomes of these educational institutions and the labor market needs.

Then the floor was open for questions of the graduates and there was an obvious interaction between them and the ministry's delegation.
