The DU Media Club visited the Office of Oman Establishment for Press, Publication and Advertising in Dhofar, as part of the plan of enriching the perceptions of the club members and increasing the interaction between the university's media and the local media. The club members met employees and Mr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Alayan, the Director of the Office of Oman Establishment for Press, Publication and Advertising, who introduced the history of Oman newspaper and the steps it had been through. In addition to introducing the sections of the newspaper, Mr. AL-Alayan talked about the styles of the journalistic writing, and the characteristics of the successful and distinguished journalist and Journalistic Article, as he confirmed that honesty is the basic principle of writing any article in addition to that the journalist should be well-educated that his articles to be clear and simple. Then he talked about his experiences in the field of press and the nature of his writings. In his column Al-Alayan talks about regional and international political issues which make him delighted for expressing his ideas and analysis of different political issues openly. He also confirmed that the Omani Press had many advantages such as freedom of writing approved by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

Finally Al-Alayan said that the enthusiasm of the club members was very promising for the Omani Press field which is continuously developing.
