Under the patronage of Mrs. Noor bint Hassan Al Ghassani, Head of Omani Woman Association in Salalah, the Cultural and Theatrical Section for the Office of Students Affairs at DU organized a celebration of mothers' day. The celebration was attended by acting DU Vice Chancellor, some of both academic and non-academic DU staff and a big number of the university and some school students.
     The celebration included many parts. One of the students delivered a thanking speech for mothers. Then members of ''Good for Our People'' campaign presented a presentation for mothers of handicapped children. After that, Al Wafaa Social Center in Taqah presented a song for mothers.  Then there was a traditional fashion show by Omani Woman Association in Mirbat. The celebration was concluded by an interesting quiz between DU students and local school students.
Mrs. Al Ghassani said she was very delighted to attend the celebration and patronize it. “We all congratulate all mothers in the world for their day and we ask Allah to keep them safe”, Al Ghassani added.
