OQN Hosts a Seminar on quality Audit Process 

The Oman Quality Network (OQN) organized a seminar entitled “Institutional Quality Audit – Learning by Sharing” on November 11, 2009 at the Institute of Health Sciences auditorium from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.  The objective of the seminar was to discuss and share the experiences of the Higher Education Institutions that have recently been through the Quality Audit Process so that other institutions of higher education could benefit from the lessons learnt and challenges met during the process. 

OQN invited six presenters from Sultan Qaboos University, Dhofar University, Oman Medical College, Majan College, Ibra College of Technology and Ibri College of Applied Sciences.  The invitees shared their experiences on the different aspects of the process, including: Conducting the Self Study; Writing the Portfolio; Preparing Stakeholders for the Audit Visit; Lessons Learned from the Audit Panel Visit; Reflections on the OAC’s Qual;ity Audit Manual and Personal Reflections on Audit Interviews.  Mrs. Annie Lajinian, the Director of the Foundation Program at DU and an Executive Committee Member of the OQN, chaired the first session of the seminar and presented on behalf of Dhofar University the reflections on “Preparing the Stakeholders for the Audit Visit: The Trial Audit.
