The Oman Quality Network (OQN) Representatives in Salalah

 meet at Dhofar University

UK consultants, Dr. David Wilkinson and Dr. Philip Aspey, flew from Muscat to meet with the OQN Representatives from Salalah.  The event was hosted by Dhofar University and the purpose of meeting with this focus group was to deliberate on the present status of the OQN and its future outlook, as a follow up to the recommendations of the Evaluation Report submitted by the same consultants last year.

The four higher education institutions in Dhofar were represented in this meeting: The Nursing Institute, the College of Applied Sciences, Salalah College of Technology and Dhofar University.

The OQN is a non-profit organization that aims to help develop a strong and vibrant higher education sector by improving quality in higher education within the Sultanate of Oman.  It also aims to build a quality conscious, knowledge rich sector through the sharing of ideas, strategies, research, and practices that inform the pursuit of quality improvement.

Dhofar University is committed to quality assurance and quality enhancement in the higher education sector and fully supports the contribution of its representatives and the Chair of the OQN who is the Director of the Foundation Program at Dhofar University.
