This seminar is a model for communication between the university and factories where it introduces different forms of the university communication with the civic society via celebrating public national occasions of Oman and introducing shiny models and sides of local Omani industries; this expresses the university's support of Omani industries. This initiative is considered a contribution from Dhofar University to the Sultanate celebrations on the Oman Day of Industry on the 9 th of February every year.

This seminar focuses on a number of main axes which are continuity of the practical application of the university's vision in serving society; recognizing the general features of local industry; recognizing the most important obstacles facing the local factories; showing brilliant sides of the Omani industries; recognizing the government support of industry in Oman; recognizing the future of the Omani petroleum industries, and showing plans and visions of the time.

The seminar includes an accompanying exhibition of Omani factories and industries and the participation of local industrial companies and broadcasting their local role in producing and circulating the industries and recognizing the extent of consuming the Omani industries and making students acquainted with local industries available in the Sultanate as the Omani product now enjoys good reputation as stated by customers from Oman or the Gulf and all over the world. Hence, we are honoured to share the General Company of Industrial Areas to highlight the availability of these products together with an accompanying exhibition entitled “with the Omani Industry”; we are pleased to participate in the campaign “Omani” launched by the General Company of Industrial Areas.
