DU tested a new batch of 350 students for entry into the academic year 2006/2007. They were divided into two groups, and were given placement tests in the English Language, Mathematics, Arabic Language, and IT skills. According to the results of the tests in all four subjects, the students were then placed in the OPU level that was suitable for their skills and abilities.
