Dhofar University Representative Re-elected as Executive Committee Member of the Oman Quality Network

The General Meeting of the Oman Quality Network was held last Wednesday, 23 December, 2009 at the MECIT in Muscat.  Among other items on the agenda was the election of a new Executive Committee to serve for the next two years.  Ms. Annie Lajinian-Magarian, the Director of the Foundation Program at Dhofar University, was re-elected for another term, as one of the seven members of the Oman Quality Network Executive Committee.  The Oman Quality Network (OQN), established in 2006, is a collegiate national network of Higher Education Institutions, and is supported by the Oman Accreditation Council (OAC) and the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE).  Raising awareness and building capacity in quality assurance and quality enhancement in the sector of higher education are primary goals of the OQN.
