The elections for the University Student Faculty Council (USFC) for 2009-10 academic year were held on Monday, November 16, 2009.  According to its regulations, the USFC is composed of two student representatives from each college who would be elected by the students of that college and two students who would be selected by the Foundation Program (FP) Director, in addition to one faculty representative from each college and the FP. 

The elections were organized by the Student Affairs Office under the supervision of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Support Services.  The ballot count took place in the presence of Dean Frayha from the College of Arts & Applied Sciences, Dean Chaaban, Dr. Nawayseh from the College of Engineering, Dr. Suleimen from the College of Commerce and Business Administration. Present also were Ms. Wathiqa Beit Said , and Mr. Salim Al-Hafidh from Student Affairs Office, and the candidates.

The nominations for the Colleges were as follows:

Manar Al-Hureibi and Arwa Al-Najjar from the College of Arts and Applied Sciences who won the elections uncontested in the absence of other candidates. 

Hamid Al-Mahri, Mohammad Al Ibrahim, Iman Al-Mardoof, Sarah Al-Ghassani, and Maha Ghowaith from the College of Commerce and Business Administration.  The winners were Hamid Al-Mahari (70 votes) and Mohammad Al Ibrahim (53 votes).

Ali Al-Maashani, Ali Al-Yafei, Rihab Al-Shatri, Abdallah Al-Fahdi, and Asaad Al-Kindi from the College of Engineering.  The winners were: Ali al-Maashani (92 votes), Ali Al-Yafei (78 votes).

The Foundation Program nominated Said Al-Hudaifi and Jokha Al Rashidi.

As such, the student members of the USFC for the current year are: Ali Al Maashani, Ali Al Yafei, Arwa Al Najjar, Jokha Al Rashidi, Hamed Al- Mahri, Manar Al Hureibi, Mohammad Al-Ibrahim,  and Said Al-Hudaifi.
