Attendance and Absences

Attendance of all classes and course-related activities is obligatory. A student is not allowed to miss more than 20% of the course sessions if excused by the instructor or the college. Any student who misses more than 20% of a course’s sessions must withdraw from the course, otherwise the instructor can drop him/her with a grade of ‘W’.

A student who is absent on any assigned exam would get a grade of zero unless a legitimate excuse is presented and approved by the instructor. A student who is absent on an end-of-semester exam would also get a grade of zero unless the administrative committee of the college approves the excuse and permits that student to take a make-up exam within one month from the start of the following semester. Meanwhile, a grade of incomplete ‘I’ would be posted on the student’s record.  Should the student fail to remove the ‘I’ within the specified period, the ‘I’ will be changed to a grade of 45.
