The College of Arts and Applied Sciences provides the core of liberal arts education at Dhofar University. We offer core classes (natural and social sciences and humanities) to all undergraduate students. The College community firmly believes that success in today’s rapidly changing world requires a solid understanding of the challenges that lie ahead. We believe that skills such as communication, analysis, and critical thinking are a must for any student aspiring to reach high, to assume a leadership role, or to simply have an intellectually rewarding life. Simply put, the liberal arts education we offer is the nucleus of what it means to be educated.

Our College is the largest school at the University. We offer 20 academic undergraduate programs and two graduate programs, all of which are designed according to the National Qualification Framework for Higher Education in the Sultanate of Oman.
