The Office of Admission and Registration
(OAR) not only represents the front line of contact with
students but also the Office whose resources and functions are
vital to the integrity of all university functions - one that is
most utilized by students, faculty, and administration.
Mantra
The Office of Admission and Registration (OAR) mantra is
epitomized by the acronym FAC3E which stands for Friendly,
Accurate, Current-Complete-Confidential, and Effective services
to the students and to the University community at large.
Mission
To provide lean and effective admissions and registration
processes for students, maintain the integrity of students’
information and records, provide accurate information and timely
support to students, faculty, and administration, and maintain
office resources to meet the dynamically changing university
requirements.

2. Provide new students with all necessary information and
guidance
3. Carefully organize the registration process
4. Utilize human and IT resources effectively
5. Enforce quality checks on all students data
6. Coordinate with academic departments and units and
administration on all students’ related issues

Registrar’s related issues
8. Plan for and publish accurate schedules in collaboration with
academic departments and units
9. Play a central role in promoting the University’s academic
programs
Responsibilities
The Office of Admission
and Registration is responsible for the following functions and
activities:
1. Mange student applications, admission, and registration.
2. Prepare semester and final exam schedules.
3. Prepare for course/instructor appraisals.
4. Plan for and manage pre-registration of students.
5. Plan for, organize, and manage orientation day.
6. Prepare and publish accurate academic calendar.
7. Maintain updated students’ records and make them available to
the departments immediately when requested.
8. Maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and currency of
students’ data and records.
9. Develop future plans regarding personnel needs,
software/hardware needs, training, etc.
