Duties
and responsibilities
The appointee’s responsibilities include: (1) teach general management
related courses, supervise final year projects, contribute to students’
advising, contribute to accreditation activities, and develop relations with
local industries. (2) Conduct research and contribute to the DU ongoing
research projects, submit proposals for funding, publish research work in
peer reviewed journals and conferences, and collaborate with peers on
ongoing multidisciplinary research effort; contribute to building graduate
program. (3) Render service to the department, college, university and
community.
Educational and Special Requirements
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in the area of management or in the related
field of public administration. A good publication track record will be an
advantage. The applicant must also have a good command of Arabic language as
the medium of instruction to be followed is Arabic. Knowledge of English is
also essential.
Application Procedure
Evidence of the applicant’s experience must be supported by a statement of
teaching philosophy addressing vision, teaching methods, scholarly work and
communication, time management, and IT skills supported by tangible
evidence. A complete application dossier must include: Resume; the statement
of teaching philosophy; a brief descriptive list of any relevant academic
and nonacademic experiences, a list of publications, and contact information
