New
Campus
DU has started
building its own campus in Salalah on a 450,000 square meter
plot of land. The facilities will meet international design
standards and those of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) as
well, while taking into consideration local needs and cultural
context.
The first phase of development includes: an administration
building, a common classroom building, a main library building, a
student activity center, a mosque, female student dormitories, and
housing for the senior administration.

In addition, there are three
buildings for the three colleges and the Foundation Program (FP)
which house language, computer, science and engineering labs.
Students, faculty and non-academic staff will have access to the
city sports complex located next to the new campus.
After completion of the first phase of construction, the new campus
will accommodate up to 5000 students. This will allow DU to
introduce new academic programs to existing colleges at both the
undergraduate and graduate levels. The campus land also allows
for the establishment of new colleges in the future.
