             EcoHouse Project

             The EcoHouse received approval for extension with a budget of 9,000 R.O in December, 2018.
             As per TRC’s recommendations, as a part of education and outreach criteria, signboards will

             be  placed  for  EcoHouse  on  main  highways  in  Salalah.  The  team  worked  on  necessary

             maintenance so that the house can be opened for public/tourists for visit. The project completed
             extension period on 31st March, 2019. The final financial report was audited by DU and TRC
             and the project was officially closed in July, 2019.



             EJAAD

             EJAAD is a new platform from TRC that helps to link academia to Industry. DU became member
             of EJAAD in December, 2018 by paying an annual membership fee of 500 R.O. Many industry

             challenges were posted from different industries that were circulated among faculty members.

             DU submitted 3 expression of interest.






                                   “BEST FURAP AWARD”
             All FURAP project holders from FURAP Call#6 applied for the “FURAP Award” organized by
               the TRC. All projects competed at national level and awards were given during the Annual
              Research Forum (ARF) held in Muscat in the beginning of AY 2019-20. One of the FURAP
             Project from DU titled “Sustainable development of renewable energy technology to produce
             clean fuel (H2) from Water” led by Dr. Himangshu Bhowmik, Dr. Paul Okonkwo, Mohammed
                                          Ahmed Awadh Al Sarj Al Marhoon and
                Naif Fawaz Ahmed Al Sfarini won the “Best FURAP Award in Engineering & Technology
              sector” from all across Oman. The students attended the ARF event along with their mentor
                                                 and collected their award
