Student Affairs Office (SAO)

The Student Affairs Office (SAO) is responsible for overseeing all students’ affairs in the University by; providing guidance, counseling, activities, and services, to students at different levels. It also organizes and supports student activities. The office works with student groups to develop and carry-out a wide variety of community service projects throughout the year. The office can also assist students in planning and arranging many student functions on and off-campus.

Aims

  • Inform students about university policies and procedures that concern their lives.

  • Encourage students to be good and loyal citizens,

  • Support the students financially via students work-scholarship

  • Involve students in the decision making process at SAO through participation in the University Students Faculty Council (USFC(

  • Provide assistance on how to find information about housing or where to turn if you need academic support.

  • Provide eligible students with comfortable and safe hostel accommodation and efficient transportation services

  • Support student activities by helping identify and enhance students' talents and hobbies to enable them to demonstrate their abilities through extra-curricular activities

  • Provide orientation programs for new students

  • Assist students in counseling services by providing psychological and educational support to all.

  • Train the students to benefit themselves with a basic skill such; medical first-aid, time management, self-awareness, communication skills

  • Boost students' self-confidence, values and self-esteem and equip them with skills in self expression and essential techniques required in the real labor market.

  • Connect students with the labor market through training and student part time work.
