Dhofar university, in accordance with its societal responsibility and goals in achieving sustainability and preserving the environment and climate, participated in the campaign of cleaning natural places in the Governorate of Dhofar which was done through the students of CSCEC with the participation of governmental and private institutions.<\/p>\n

The campaign aimed to protect the natural environment in the governorate. The campaign was led by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and was organized by Salalah Adventure. The campaign extended to the period of (21st October \u2013 2nd December -23rd December 2023), and included Wadi Geiz, Darbat and Al-Mughsail. The campaign managed to collect plastic bags and waste.<\/p>\n

Dhofar university\u2019s contribution to this campaign is due to consolidating the culture of volunteering in society, as indicated by Mr.Omar Ali Al Shahri, Director of Community Service and Continuing Education Center at the university (CSCEC). It is also an opportunity to gain and acquire new skills in the multiple paths of volunteering, which is done by protecting the environment and nature through waste disposal and participating in enhancing the aesthetic appearance of the governorate, especially as it constitutes as a tourist attraction. The campaign contributes to improving the visual quality of the surroundings and developing the tourism environment.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n
