DUCS Vision and Mission

DUCS envisions a sustainable socio-economic future for Dhofar and Oman by em-
bedding the UN SDGs into DU’s educational and research agenda. Its mission is to
lead the localization and implementation of these global goals through focused aca-
demic programs, interdisciplinary research, and impactful community engagement,
empowering individuals and institutions to drive lasting, positive change.

industries to promote sustainability awareness and joint initiatives.

specific SDGs, especially those most relevant to Dhofar.

Education and Curriculum Integration: Embed SDG concepts into academic
programs to prepare graduates as responsible, sustainability-conscious professionals.

Internationalization and Recognition: Align with global standards to improve
DU’s international ranking and recognition in sustainability.

Governance and Management: Establish transparent systems for tracking,

evaluating, and reporting sustainability progress.
