MEDICINE
In alignment with global trends in competency-based education,
these innovations are strengthening foundational science teaching
while providing clinical relevance early in the curriculum. Students
benefit from active learning strategies, improved visualization
of systems, and enhanced engagement through technology-
enhanced anatomy instruction. Faculty development initiatives
have further supported the effective integration of these resources
into teaching and assessment practices.
As part of ongoing national benchmarking and quality assurance
efforts, the College recently welcomed the Sultan Qaboos
University Joint Committee. The delegation reviewed instructional
facilities and observed the significant progress made within a
short developmental period. Their visit underscored the College’s
alignment with its long-term vision of establishing a modern
medical program grounded in innovation, sustainability, and
educational excellence. The committee’s feedback highlighted the
strength of the College’s infrastructure and affirmed the strategic
direction of its academic development.
Moving forward, the College of Medicine remains committed
to expanding simulation-based education, integrating digital
technologies across the curriculum, and sustaining an anatomy
learning environment that prepares future physicians with strong
foundational competencies and a deep understanding of human
structure and function.
