MoHERI Delegate Visits
Dhofar University
Prof. Amer bin Ali Al Rawas, Vice-Chancellor of Dhofar University, hosted a
high-level delegation from the General Directorate of Private Universities and
Colleges, alongside members of the University’s Board of Directors. The visit
was part of an ongoing effort to monitor progress and ensure the quality of
the educational process. During the discussions, the delegation explored key
strategic plans, including Dhofar University’s financial sustainability strategy, the
Omanization of academic and administrative roles, enhancements to educational
programs, and initiatives to advance scientific research. Additionally, the
latest developments and challenges faced by the University were thoroughly
reviewed.
On the sidelines of the visit, the delegation engaged with members of the Student
Advisory Council. The dialogue focused on the council’s member selection
process, services provided to students, and obstacles affecting its operations,
emphasizing the importance of fostering active student participation. The visit
culminated in a comprehensive inspection tour of Dhofar University’s facilities.
The delegation examined progress across several key areas, including the library,
College of Medicine,

Office, and other
departments, highlighting
the University’s dedication
to continuous development
and excellence.
