Dhofar University among 60 International universities and HEIs participating in Global Higher Education Exhibition GHEDEX-Bahrain

Dhofar University was among over 60 international universities and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) that participated in the Global Higher Education Exhibition in its second edition, GHEDEX 2024-Bahrain, hosted by the Exhibition World Bahrain between 21-22 April 2024.

Dhofar University’s participation in the exhibition aimed to promote various academic programmes and specializations offered at DU, highlighting the role of the university’s centers in providing academic services and training opportunities that meet students’ needs in the labour market.

The exhibition was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, in the presence of several officials and representatives from participating universities and HEIs. It is worth noting that educational institutions which participated in the exhibition represent diverse countries, including universities and HEIs from the Sultanate of Oman. Participating Omani HEIs included the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation (MOHERI) represented by the “Study in Oman” initiative, the Ministry of Education (MOE) represented by the Vocational Guidance and Student Counselling Centre as well as the National University of Science and Technology.

The exhibition featured several activities and events, including the International Conference on Academic Counselling and Vocational Guidance, the Human Capital Development Conference, the Student Enterprises Pavilion as well as GHEDEX Awards for Excellence in Education and Human Capital Development.

The exhibition provides an opportunity for students, especially those with the General Education Diploma, to connect with various Gulf and international universities and academic programmes via their representatives, and to discuss all matters related to their interests and aspirations for their academic careers.
