Dhofar University Welcomes Scholar from Tulane University to Strengthen Academic Ties

As part of its ongoing efforts to deepen strategic partnerships, Dhofar University’s College of Arts and Applied Sciences (CAAS) recently hosted Dr. Andrew Leber, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Tulane University, USA. The visit aimed to explore avenues for academic collaboration and the exchange of expertise between the two institutions.

This initiative builds on a previously signed cooperation agreement and focused on enhancing student and faculty exchange programs. These efforts are designed to enrich the academic environment and provide students and researchers with access to global perspectives and experiences.During his visit, Dr. Leber engaged in a series of meetings with Dr. Khalid Almashikhi, Dean of CAAS, as well as with the Chairs of the Arabic Department and the English Language and Literature Department. He also participated in discussions with representatives from Student Affairs and the Academic Support Center.

Dr. Almashikhi emphasized the significance of the visit, stating:“This collaboration reflects Dhofar University’s commitment to building bridges with esteemed international institutions. It aligns with our vision of integrating local expertise with global insights to deliver high-quality education that equips students for a competitive job market.”
