Notable Rise for Dhofar University in the TIMES Higher Education "World University Impact Ranking" 2025

Dhofar University (DU) has been ranked in the band 601-800 among more than 2540 universities spread over 130 countries across the world in the Times Higher Education (THE) “World University Impact Ranking” announced in Istanbul, Turkey on 19th June 2025.

DU also has the honour of being a leading university in the Sultanate of Oman for second consecutive year from among the six Higher Education Institutions ranked by THE.

It is worth mentioning that for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1 “No Poverty” and SDG 8 “Decent Work and Economic Growth” DU is ranked in the band 101-200 in the world, thereby contributing to the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman towards achieving United Nations SDGs.

The achievement of Dhofar University is reflection of its commitment towards the community and the nation and its contribution towards achieving “Oman Vision 2040”.
