Dhofar University Recognized at Launch of QS Global Report on Higher Education in Oman

In recognition of its recent academic achievements and inclusion in the 2026 QS World University Rankings, Dhofar University was honored during the launch ceremony of the QS Global Report on Higher Education in Oman. The event highlighted the promising potential of the nation’s academic institutions and was held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Chairman of the Oman Vision 2040 Follow-up Unit. The ceremony was also attended by Her Excellency Prof. Rahma Al Mahrooqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, along with leaders and representatives from various higher education institutions.

Representing Dhofar University, Vice Chancellor Prof. Amer bin Ali Al Rawas accepted the commemorative shield, an acknowledgment of the University’s distinguished standing both nationally and internationally, as well as its ongoing efforts to enhance academic and research excellence in alignment with the Sultanate’s strategic aspirations.

This recognition marks a significant milestone in the university’s journey to elevate educational quality, broaden the scope of research, and deepen community engagement, further supporting the realization of Oman Vision 2040’s goals for a competitive and innovative higher education sector.
