Preparatory Studies Center Conducts Induction Program for New Faculty Members

Salalah, in the presence of Dr. Moosa Bait Ali Suleiman, Director of the Preparatory Studies Center, the Center organized a comprehensive induction program for new faculty members on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Multipurpose Hall 212A. The initiative aimed to familiarize the newly appointed faculty members with the Center’s work environment, operational mechanisms, and academic culture, setting the stage for a productive and impactful start to their academic careers.

The program began at 9:00 a.m. with a welcome speech by the Center’s Director, Dr. Moosa, in which he expressed his thanks and appreciation to the new academic staff, expressing his delight at their joining the Center’s academic community. In his speech, Dr. Moosa also outlined the Center’s strategic vision and academic goals, wishing everyone a successful and distinguished academic year.

The induction program’s agenda included several key sessions, beginning with an introductory meeting with the heads of the various departments within the Center, presented by Mr. Verayan Maruthaban, Deputy Director and Lecturer in the Information Technology Unit. The session was designed to facilitate the integration of new members into their respective teams and departments.

A significant portion of the program was dedicated to quality assurance standards and requirements, presented by Mr. Thangadurai Kadarkarai, the Center’s Quality Assurance Coordinator. His presentation emphasized the importance of maintaining high academic standards and contributing to continuous performance improvement.

The program also addressed the research dimension, with the Center’s Scientific Research Committee providing an overview of research support mechanisms and opportunities. The session encouraged new faculty members to actively engage in research and innovation, reinforcing the Center’s commitment to fostering a knowledge-driven academic environment.
