
Dhofar University Concludes Student Orientation Week
Dhofar University has concluded its Student Orientation Week, held under the patronage of Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil, Deputy Vice Chancellor. The five-day programme, which began on 5 April, witnessed a strong turnout of students and active engagement from several participating bodies.
At the closing ceremony, Prof. Nasser Said Abdulrasheed, Director of Students’ Counselling Centre, expressed his gratitude to all participants and supporters, particularly the University administration. He praised the collective efforts that ensured the success of the week’s activities and underscored the importance of continuing such initiatives to enrich the student experience.
The ceremony featured a visual presentation showcasing highlights of the orientation week, including its diverse programmes and events. The patron of the ceremony then honoured participants in recognition of their contributions, in a setting that reflected the spirit of cooperation and belonging across the University community.
Orientation Week offered a wide range of awareness programmes, lectures, and workshops designed to support students academically and psychologically. The activities also aimed to strengthen students’ adaptability to university life, enhance their skills, and contribute to their academic success and overall stability.
