Dhofar University and Air Force Specialized Training Center Forge Strategic Partnership in Training and Scientific Research

Dhofar University and the Royal Air Force of Oman, represented by the Air Force Specialized Training Center, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to expand and deepen cooperation in training, academic, and research areas.

Officials from both sides witnessed the signing of the memorandum at Dhofar University, with Prof. Amer bin Ali Al Rawas, Dhofar University Vice Chancellor, signing on behalf of Dhofar University, and Air Force Colonel Mohammed bin Salem Al Salmi representing the Air Force Specialized Training Center.

The MoU comes as part of Dhofar University’s commitment to building effective institutional partnerships with various national sectors, thereby contributing to the development of the education and training system and aligning its outcomes with the needs of the labor market and national institutions.

Areas of cooperation include the exchange of expertise and knowledge; the development and implementation of joint training and qualification programs; support for research initiatives and projects of mutual interest; and the encouragement of participation in scientific and professional conferences and events, thereby enhancing opportunities for knowledge transfer and the utilization of specialized expertise.

Prof. Al Rawas emphasized that this cooperation reflects the importance of partnerships between academic and specialized national institutions, noting that the university places great emphasis on strengthening its relationships with various institutions, thereby providing broader opportunities for training, professional development, and scientific research, and contributing to the preparation of national professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills required for the future.
