Dhofar University Advisory Board Convenes for Second Meeting

The Advisory Board of Dhofar University held its second meeting on Thursday, September 4, at the Board of Trustees meeting room on the University’s Campus in Salalah. The session was chaired by His Excellency Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah Al Ibrahim, retired minister and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

At the beginning, Dhofar University Vice Chancellor, Professor Amer bin Ali Al Rawas, delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the institution’s key achievements during the 2024–2025 Academic Year. His address covered progress across multiple domains, including academic excellence, research advancement, accreditation milestones, and strategic expansion initiatives.The Council commended the University’s ongoing efforts and noted the significant strides made in enhancing academic and research standards, strengthening quality assurance, and broadening institutional reach.

In addition, the Board reviewed a series of proposed research programs designed to accelerate progress toward sustainable development and innovation objectives. These initiatives aim to reinforce Dhofar University’s leadership in sustainability and its commitment to impactful, forward-thinking scholarship.
