Dhofar University Awards Training Certificates to Over 100 Employees

In February 2024, Dhofar University’s Center for Training and Development of Human Resources (CTDHR) celebrated a significant milestone by awarding training certificates to over 100 employees. The ceremony, graced by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ihsan Syed Jameel, highlighted the university’s dedication to enhancing administrative staff expertise through a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

The diverse training initiative featured courses like the “Fundamentals of Insurance,” aimed at deepening knowledge in insurance principles and risk management. Additionally, “Practical Training on the Student Dormitories System” and “Fundamentals of Oracle Discoverer Plus” were designed to improve operational efficiency and administrative processes.

Cybersecurity was a key focus, with the “Self-Learning Electronic Program in Cybersecurity” preparing staff for the evolving digital threats. Leadership skills were bolstered through “Effective Communication Skills for Supervisory Positions,” emphasizing communication, team building, and professional writing.

The “First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)” course underscored the importance of safety and emergency preparedness, providing essential training in CPR techniques. The “Working with Hazardous Substances” program aimed at Chemical Engineering Laboratory Technicians and the “Cataloging and Classification of Information Resources According to International Standards” course for library staff sought to enhance specialized skills in safety and information management, respectively.

An “Advanced Microsoft Outlook” course further enabled administrative staff to streamline their workflow, increasing productivity through better email and calendar management.

This event not only celebrated the achievements of the staff but also reflected the CTDHR’s pivotal role in supporting Dhofar University’s mission toward excellence and innovation, marking a key step in the university’s commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.
