Dhofar University Hosts Induction for New Faculty

Dhofar University’s Public Relations and Media Department organized an induction day for new faculty members on September 19, designed to introduce them to the cultural, historical, and tourist heritage of the Dhofar Governorate and the Sultanate of Oman. The programme included visits to Wadi Darbat and the Land of Frankincense Museum, where Mr. Ahmed Al Ansi, the Museum’s Curator, delivered a presentation on Oman’s maritime and commercial history, the significance of frankincense, its trade routes, and export markets, highlighting the cultural and economic dimensions of Omani heritage. This initiative reflects the Department’s commitment to welcoming new faculty and guests, familiarizing them with the governorate’s cultural and tourist attractions, and fostering their integration into both the university environment and the local community.
