
Dhofar University Participates in the “Education and Career Opportunities” Forum in Duqm
Dhofar University participated in the “Education and Career Opportunities Forum”, organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm, under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Muslim Al-Kathiri, Governor of Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate.
The university’s participation was among more than 20 higher education institutions and 10 organizations from the public and private sectors. The university team presented informative sessions on the academic programs and modern specializations offered by the university, as well as the available study opportunities for students from various governorates of the Sultanate.
Dhofar University’s participation aims to introduce students in grades 9–12 to its scientific and professional programs, linking them to labor market needs and promoting an informed approach to university specialization choices. Additionally, it highlights the university’s role in supporting educational pathways, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
The university’s attendance at the forum emphasizes its ongoing commitment to engaging with national initiatives aimed at preparing a generation aware of the future development needs in Oman, particularly in emerging economic areas like Duqm. Representing the university at the forum was Mr. Abdulrahman Baamer, Director of the Public Relations and Information Department
