
Dhofar University Students Embark on International Training in India and Thailand
On 14 June, Professor Amer bin Ali Al Rawas, Vice Chancellor of Dhofar University, met with a group of students selected to participate in international training and exchange programmes, ahead of their departure to represent the University abroad.
During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor underscored the importance of seizing these valuable opportunities, which enhance students’ academic and professional skills while broadening their cultural and intellectual horizons. He urged the participants to embody the values of excellence, commitment, and ambition as representatives of Dhofar University and the Sultanate of Oman.
Four students from the Faculty of Engineering will join the IAESTE international work placement programme in India and Thailand. In addition, three students from the Faculties of Engineering and Commerce and Administrative Sciences will attend the summer programme at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay), focusing on entrepreneurship and renewable energy.
Professor Al Rawas extended his best wishes for their success, encouraging them to share the knowledge and experiences they gain with their peers and to contribute to strengthening the University’s reputation both locally and internationally.
