Dhofar University Students Win First Place in “Say It Right!” English Grammar Competition

A team of students from the Centre for Preparatory Studies at Dhofar University has achieved an outstanding academic success by securing first place in the “Say It Right!” English grammar competition. The competition was organised by University of Technology and Applied Sciences on Tuesday, 14 April 2026, with the participation of several higher education institutions across Dhofar Governorate.

The competition aimed to assess and strengthen students’ command of English grammar in a supportive and competitive environment, while also promoting interaction and collaboration among foundation programme students across institutions.

The Dhofar University team, consisting of six students from the Centre for Preparatory Studies, competed in three rounds, where they demonstrated a high level of knowledge and skill. Their strong performance earned them first place with distinction.

This achievement is a source of pride for both the Centre for Preparatory Studies and Dhofar University, as it reflects the students’ capabilities and the quality of the academic programmes. It also highlights the importance of supporting academic activities that contribute to the development of students’ critical thinking and creativity.
