
Dhofar University Welcomes Delegation from Association of Arab Universities and Future University, Egypt
Dhofar University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Amer bin Ali Al Rawas, welcomed Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, and Prof. Ebada Sarhan, President of Future University in Egypt. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil, Deputy Vice Chancellor; Dr. Issam Bahadur, Dean of the College of Engineering; and Dr. Hisham Abdulmajeed, Director of the International Cooperation Office.
At the outset, Prof. Al Rawas expressed his appreciation for the visit, reaffirming Dhofar University’s commitment to strengthening academic partnerships and expanding cooperation with Arab higher education institutions. He provided an overview of the University’s colleges, academic programs, and key achievements in accreditation, rankings, and research.
Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil then delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the University’s history, educational and research initiatives, and its vision for the future.
The delegation toured several colleges and departments, including the College of Engineering, where they visited laboratories and the 5G Innovation Lab. They also explored the College of Medicine, viewing advanced facilities such as the anatomy laboratory, and visited the University’s Research Centre to learn more about its academic and research capabilities.
The guests expressed their commendation for Dhofar University’s modern infrastructure, advanced research facilities, and dynamic educational environment, noting that these reflect the institution’s ambitious vision and growing prominence in higher education.
