Omani Network for Scientific Research and Education Delegation Visits Dhofar University

Dhofar University Library hosted a team from the Omani Network for Research and Education (OMREN) on September 23, 2026, to conduct training workshops aimed at introducing OMREN’s services and addressing the university’s specific challenges and needs regarding the services it provides, as well as to shed further light on the electronic resources and databases it provides, in addition to other services. The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members, staff, and students, who commended the excellent services provided and how useful they are in supporting the educational process at the university. The workshops will continue through tomorrow, Thursday, to further introduce the services offered by participating publishers such as Taylor & Francis and EBSCO, to enhance opportunities for success in scholarly publishing, maximize the use of their electronic resources, and learn about new applications—particularly those related to browsing and accessing AI-powered search.
