Orientation Program for Evening Students of CPS — Term 1 2025/2026
As part of the Centre for Preparatory Studies efforts to maintain effective and comprehensive communication with its students, the CPS Evening Students Committee organized an orientation program on Monday, October 6, 2025, in the Evening Students’ classrooms at Dhofar University.
The meeting was chaired by the Director of CPS, Dr. Moosa Bait Ali Sulaiman, who encouraged students to prepare seriously for their studies and to seek academic support whenever needed, whether from the teaching staff or the administration, emphasizing that questioning and inquiry are the keys to learning. He also urged students to make the most of available opportunities that contribute to their academic and personal development, affirming the administration’s commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
The committee, for its part, highlighted its mission to facilitate evening students’ access to Dhofar University’s services, events, activities, and educational facilities, including Murajaa classes available in both the morning and evening sessions. It also outlined the channels of communication available with administrative and academic staff for submitting suggestions and inquiries.
The program repeatedly affirmed the equal care and attention afforded to all students regardless of their study shift, reflecting DU and CPS dedication to providing an optimal learning environment. This initiative helped strengthen the relationship between students, administration, and faculty, while fostering motivation among evening students.
