State Council Delegation Visits Dhofar University and Tours Frankincense Research Laboratory

On September 11, Dhofar University Vice Chancellor, Professor Amer bin Ali Al Rawas, received a delegation from the State Council’s Special Committee on “The Role of Plant Extracts in Boosting the Local Economy: Analyzing Opportunities and Challenges”, accompanied by a supporting technical team. The delegation’s visit to the University also included a tour of several academic facilities and the University’s Research Center.

Welcoming the delegation, Professor Amer bin Ali Al Rawas provided an overview of the University’s history, highlighting its academic, research, and community achievements. Prof. Al Rawas also introduced the University’s various colleges and academic programs, with particular emphasis on the College of Medicine as a significant contribution to education and healthcare in the Dhofar Governorate. The Vice Chancellor further outlined the University’s role in serving the local community through its research initiatives and strategic partnerships at both national and international levels.
